Permanent Jewelry at the sparkle bar

  • Permanent jewelry is custom-fit jewelry that is welded closed rather than finished with a clasp. The chain is fitted to you and welded directly on your wrist, ankle or neck, creating a seamless piece designed to be worn daily.

    There is no clasp. The intention is longevity, not removal.

    The process is quick, precise and comfortable. Most appointments take between 5–15 minutes.

  • No. You will not feel pain or heat.

    “Zapping” refers only to the brief flash of light created during the welding process. Nothing touches your skin.

  • We work exclusively with solid 14k gold, sterling silver and natural gemstones.

    We do not use gold-filled or gold-plated materials. Permanent jewelry should be made from materials that last.

  • Simply: quality.

    Solid gold and sterling silver do not wear through, flake or discolour skin or clothing. Permanent jewelry is meant to be lived in and kept for a long time.

  • Permanent jewelry is designed to last, but it is not indestructible.

    Your piece is fine jewelry and should be treated as such. Daily wear is expected. Snagging, pulling or excessive force can cause breakage, just as it would with any fine chain.

    The benefit of permanent jewelry is that it can always be re-welded or repaired.

  • Yes. Permanent jewelry can be worn during normal daily activities, including showering and swimming.

    As with all fine jewelry, we recommend being mindful during activities that involve pulling, resistance or impact. Rinse your gold jewelry well after swimming.

  • Yes. We offer a curated selection of gemstone, diamond and gold charms.

    Charms can be added at the time of your appointment or added later as your piece evolves.

  • Yes. A clasp can be added for a small fee.

    Some clients prefer the flexibility of a clasp while still enjoying a custom-fit piece. All of our pieces are available with a clasp.

  • Yes.

    All re-welds and repairs are complimentary for Sparkle Bar bracelets.
    For non–Sparkle Bar jewellery, repairs are $25.

    If your jewellery breaks, simply book an appointment. We will refund your booking fee.

  • If your piece is lost within three months of purchase, we offer a one-time discount toward a replacement of equal or lesser value.

  • No. Permanent jewelry is custom-fit and made-to-order.

    Once the chain is cut, all sales are final.

  • Permanent jewelry is fine jewelry and is not indestructible.

    We stand behind our work and materials. All Sparkle Bar bracelets include complimentary re-welding and repairs if your piece breaks under normal wear.

    For jewellery not purchased at The Sparkle Bar, repair or re-welding services are available for $25.

    Loss, excessive force, misuse or normal wear over time are not considered defects. description

  • Yes.

    We offer both digital gift cards and physical gift cards, available in studio. Gift cards can be used toward permanent jewelry or other Sparkle Bar services.

  • Yes. Online bookings require a $30 booking fee.

    This amount is applied toward your total at your appointment.

  • We can accommodate two people per bracelet appointment.

    For anklets or necklaces, we recommend one person per appointment to allow sufficient time for fitting and placement.

  • It is important that you read and understand the process of permanent jewellery before your appointment. When you book your appointment, you must agree and print your name to complete the booking.

    IN CONSIDERATION OF the risk of injury that can occur while participating in The Sparkle Bar YEG PERMANENT Jewellery services (hereinafter the "Activity"); and IN CONSIDERATION OF my desire to participate in said Activity and being given the right to participate in same;

    I HEREBY, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives (hereinafter collectively, "Releasor", "I" or "me", which terms shall also include Releasor's parents or guardian if Releasor is under 18 years of age), knowingly and voluntarily enter into this WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind arising out of my participation in the Activity; and

    I HEREBY release and forever discharge The Sparkle Bar YEG their affiliates, managers, owners, designers, members, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors and assigns (collectively "The Sparkle Bar YEG"), from any physical or psychological injury that I may suffer as a direct result of my participation in the aforementioned Activity.

    I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE AFOREMENTIONED ACTIVITY AND I AM PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY ENTIRELY AT MY OWN RISK. I AM AWARE OF THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING IN THIS ACTIVITY, WHICH MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: PHYSICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURY, PAIN, VISION IMPAIRMENT OR EMOTIONAL LOSS. I ASSUME ALL RELATED RISKS, BOTH KNOWN AND UNKNOWN TO ME, OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS ACTIVITY.

    I FURTHER AGREE to indemnify, defend and hold harmless The Sparkle Bar YEG against any and all claims, suits or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf, including attorney's fees and any related costs.

    I confirm that I have made employees of The Sparkle Bar YEG aware of any allergies I may have that may affect my permanent jewelry wear.

    I understand not to look directly at the "spark" during the welding process. Doing so could severely affect my eyesight. I understand that any sudden movement could cause the welder to scratch or burn my skin. I acknowledge that I must sit still and not look directly at my permanent jewelry as it is being welded.

    I confirm that I am age 18 or older and am able to legally consent to participate in the Original Hardware Connected Permanent Jewelry Service.

    I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE that Releasees are not responsible for errors, omissions, acts or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific event or activity on behalf of Releasees.

    I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS "WAIVER AND RELEASE" AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY. I EXPRESSLY AGREE TO RELEASE AND DISCHARGE THE SPARKLE BAR YEG AND ALL ITS AFFILIATES (MENTIONED ABOVE) FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OR CAUSES OF ACTION AND I AGREE TO VOLUNTARILY GIVE UP OR WAIVE ANY RIGHT THAT I OTHERWISE HAVE TO BRING A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE SPARKLE BAR YEG FOR PERSONAL INJURY.
